Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri unveils US$10 million IOTA investment fund during Investopia 2024 in Abu Dhabi. Fund aims to help TradeTech solutions, support startups, and advance global trade efficiency.

In an event at Investopia 2024, His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy and Chairman of Investopia, graced the unveiling of investment fund valued at US$10 million. The fund, spearheaded by the IOTA Ecosystem DLT Foundation, aims to change the landscape of TradeTech solutions and support the expansion of startups and venture projects rooted in digital technology initiatives and asset tokenisation.

Aligned with Investopia's mission to empower entrepreneurs to explore new economic horizons, the fund's introduction signals an important moment in boosting growth and prosperity within the realm of innovative projects.

Forged in collaboration with TLIP, a digital platform for trade data storage and exchange, the fund sets out to enrich the trade technology sphere and cultivate a more interconnected, efficient, and accessible global trade ecosystem. Moreover, it endeavours to provide trade financing solutions to businesses and governments, echoing the UAE' dedication to advancing technological applications in global trade with Investopia's support, particularly focusing on nurturing UAE-based startups across Africa.

These investments mark a stride toward changing the digital trade and finance arena. By nurturing a supportive ecosystem for technological innovation, IOTA stands ready to have novel avenues for seamless and efficient global trade, benefiting societies and economies worldwide.

Investopia 2024 played an instrumental role in facilitating the launch of the investment fund, serving as an ideal platform to showcase IOTA's innovative solutions to a global audience of investors and decision-makers. Furthermore, it provided the Foundation with an opportunity to forge effective communication channels with partners.

This announcement is in line with the UAE's commitment to enhancing its trade technology and digital solutions, solidifying its status as a global hub for technology and innovation. As a leading trade hub, the UAE actively upgrades global trade mechanisms by harnessing solutions and advanced technologies, aligning with the "We the UAE 2031" vision to ascend as the international capital of the new economy in the next decade.

IOTA, registered with the Abu Dhabi Global Market, remains steadfast in its mission to start the next generation of decentralised governance technologies. Using blockchain, digital currencies, distributed data technology, the IoT, and other modern financial technology applications, the Foundation aims to catalyse a new digital economy by reimagining how individuals and devices connect and exchange information and value. Through global collaboration and partnerships, IOTA strives to enact sustainable change through research and technological advancements.
