Ready to Go Global Without the Hassle?

New partnership streamlines cross-border logistics, integrates sustainable shipping via DHL’s GoGreen Plus, and empowers SMEs to expand globally through Octopios’ digital marketplace and DHL’s global network.

For many SMEs in the Middle East and North Africa, the thought of going global can feel a bit daunting. Navigating international shipping, customs, and delivery often brings to mind a mountain of paperwork and complex logistics. But what if that process could be simplified, allowing you to focus on what you do best: growing your business?

That's precisely the aim behind a new partnership between DHL Express, a well-known name in international logistics, and Octopios, an emerging B2B e-commerce platform. Their collaboration is designed to make international trade more accessible for SMEs across the MENA region.

What Does This Mean for Your Business?

At its core, this agreement brings together Octopios' growing digital marketplace with DHL's extensive global delivery network. In practical terms, this means that if you're an Octopios user, you'll now be able to manage your international shipping, customs procedures, and deliveries directly through the platform. The idea is to cut down on the usual back-and-forth and streamline the entire process, giving you more time and less hassle.

The partnership was solidified by Jawad Ouaziz, Vice President Commercial at DHL Express UAE, and Hassan Emam, Co-Founder and CEO of Octopios. Their goal is to offer a more straightforward path for SMEs looking to expand beyond their local markets.

Easing the Journey to International Markets

Mahmoud Hajj Hussein, Country Manager of DHL Express UAE, highlighted that this partnership is about making international trade both efficient and sustainable. By connecting DHL's logistics expertise with a regional digital platform like Octopios, they aim to help SMEs overcome common barriers, whether it's dealing with complicated paperwork or simply lacking clear visibility on shipments.

Hassan Emam, Co-Founder and CEO of Octopios, echoed this sentiment, noting that Octopios isn't just building a platform; they're aiming to build foundational infrastructure for future trade. This collaboration with DHL, he added, will enable Octopios users to confidently reach new markets, supported by reliable and timely delivery services.

A Nod to Sustainability

Beyond just simplifying logistics, the partnership also has an eye on the environment. Octopios has joined DHL’s GoGreen Plus program. This initiative focuses on reducing carbon emissions from international shipments by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel. For SMEs, this means that as you expand globally, you also have an option to contribute to more environmentally friendly shipping practices, aligning with a broader focus on a greener, tech-driven economy in the UAE.

With DHL's presence in over 220 countries, this collaboration aims to give Octopios users a solid foundation for reaching a wider global audience. It's a step toward strengthening MENA's role in the global digital economy.
