This is how Xiaomi's under-screen camera works
Is this the real deal?
The mobile notch life is short-lived. Xiaomi and Oppo, the two large budget-friendly mobile manufacturers are already experimenting with placing cameras beneath the transparent mobile screen.
Wang Xiang, Xiaomi’s senior vice president tweeted four slides that explained the technology in action. The front camera is covered with a “special-low-reflective glass with high transmittance” display, that becomes transparent when the camera is switched on, allowing light to enter in.
