Telecom giants drive innovation amongst UAE youth

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by Nokia and du to help drive innovation and entrepreneurship among youth in the UAE. The plans allow talented participants to visit and take advantage of Nokia Bell Labs and research centres to apply theoretical concepts to real life and put forth practical solutions.

The UAE government envisions this collaboration to support its vision to create more sustainable living and help the country prosper in line with its Vision 2021 and Centennial Plan 2071. Osman Sultan, CEO of Emirates Integrated Communication Company, said, “The initiative provides a great opportunity to the youth of the UAE to develop expertise in new technologies such as Blockchain, 5G, Big Data analytics and Internet of Things, among others.”
