Cybersecurity Experts Warn: Essential Services at Risk

In a disclosure, experts from diverse sectors will come together to shed light on the pressing issue of cybersecurity risks facing critical infrastructure globally. At an upcoming event which is going to gather top minds in cybersecurity, including industry giants and thought leaders, concerns will be raised over the alarming vulnerability of essential services to cyber threats.

According to insights shared, cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure have emerged as a concern among global respondents, ranking second in a survey conducted by Allianz Risk Barometer. This revelation has sent shockwaves through the international community, highlighting the imminent threat posed by potential shutdowns of vital systems and assets.

The event, GISEC Global 2024, will held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, providing a platform for cybersecurity experts to discuss the importance of safeguarding critical infrastructure and the vulnerabilities apparent in systems worldwide. Speakers at the event, such as Dimitri van Zantvliet, Cybersecurity Director and CISO of Dutch Railways, and Mihir Joshi, Group Chief Cyber Security and Information Officer at Tata Power, will share valuable insights into the challenges faced by sectors like transportation and energy.

Van Zantvliet highlighted the need for heightened cybersecurity measures, particularly in sectors heavily reliant on digital technologies.
