Amazon expands strengthens operations in UAE

Investments sees more than 2.4 million cubic feet of storage capacity across its network and third-party partners and the creation of 2,000 permanent and seasonal jobs

Amazon is strengthening its operations in the UAE with investments in its delivery infrastructure, jobs and technology, before the peak shopping season. The company has increased its storage capacity by over 45 percent across its fulfilment network and opened a state-of-the-art new delivery station in the UAE, creating more than 2,000 permanent and seasonal jobs. The company now has more than 2.4 million cubic feet of storage capacity across its network and third-party partners.

Amazon is leveraging its global technology innovation to create more efficient processes for its customers and associates in the UAE to enhance the delivery process from sorting centers and delivery stations to associate journeys, resulting in a smooth customer experience. These best in class tools help create a safe and efficient work environment for associates.

The investments in Amazon.ae adds to the growing list of features and services available on the site including Subscribe & Save – an easy-to-use service allowing customers to schedule automatic deliveries of everyday essentials; and Amazon Home Services, a marketplace for over 70 on-demand professional services.
