Jackys Retail showcases Samsung “Smart Things” in new retail store
Jacky’s Retail officially inaugurated its renovated Samsung branded store in Deira City Centre in Dubai. Managed jointly with Samsung Gulf Electronics since 2014, this store in the ground floor is spread over 275 square meters and offers visitors a premium customer service area and new Samsung experience areas. The revamped outlet encompasses a brand new design that starts with a giant shop front with LED screens that will display attractive abstract designs to customers.
Samsung’s long-term partnership with Jacky’s was established in 2013, with a common goal to provide the best-in-class innovation to customers in the UAE. The relationship with Samsung has evolved over the years, according to Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer at Jacky’s Group.
He added, “As we’ve seen the evolution of various technologies, in particular those in the home, we’ve seen increased synergy across the various product categories that Samsung sells today. For example, with Samsung SmartThings, we are continuing to see all the devices connect to each other – whether it be smartphones, televisions, home entertainment equipment or digital home appliances.”
The renovated store highlights this connectivity and also demonstrates the uniqueness of each person’s products, such as the BeSpoke fridges, BeSpoke Galaxy Flip4 or the various lifestyle TV’s such as the Frame, Sero or Serif TV’s that Samsung sells today.
The new store follows the Samsung’s new global store brands and comes with enhanced support, new displays and leverages AI and robotics for an enhanced user experience.

The new store features a Smart Things section that will demonstrate the capability of Samsung devices (like mobile, TV, monitor, etc.) to work with each other to deliver a “Connected Home”. Other segments will include a Samsung Smart Projector section that allows customers to experience the big screen in-store with the Samsung 130" 4K Smart Laser Projector and a dedicated Customer Service section for repairs and diagnostics.
It also has a resident assistance robot, Temi, that will act as an Assistant and Ticketing Manager. It will greet the customers, help them with the queueing ticket for the service centre, and assist them with their purchase.
Talking about the evolution of retail, Panjabi pointed out, “The experiential elements will only continue to evolve in-store. With most products now fitting the aesthetics of the house, we’ve seen shoppers come in the store far earlier so they can design their house keeping the appliances and televisions in mind. It is no longer a case of just keeping a space for a TV or a fridge, but understanding the design elements so that these integrate into the house. This is where our specialized sales consultants are able to assist.”
In addition, an exclusive accessories and wearables section provides a high-level curated and categorized display of Samsung’s latest flagship accessories and wearables.
Jacky’s also operates Samsung brand shops in Mall of the Emirates, Burjuman, City Centre Al Zahia and Khalidiyah Mall Abu Dhabi.
