Infinite8 joins HeliconNFT gaming ecosystem

The total market cap of NFTs jumped to around $16 billion in early 2021, with over 22 million NFTs in the metaverse. Chainalysis survey has indicated over $40.9 billion was spent on NFTs in 2021 alone, far surpassing previous predictions or trends.

Infinite8 has joined HeliconNFT, the DeFi, NFT and blockchain gaming ecosystem, who categorise themselves as the Netflix and Amazon of blockchain gaming, offering a whole library of blockchain games in conjunction with an NFT marketplace, allowing users to buy, sell and trade in-game assets for these games. Having secured $1.2 million in funding, Infinite8’s focus is on play-to-earn blockchain games, making it a perfect partner for HeliconNFT’s ecosystem. HeliconNFT’s ecosystem already includes Bad Fox Studios and is scheduled to launch in Q3 2022.

According to NFT Go the total market cap of NFTs jumped to around $16 billion in early 2021 from around the $55 million mark, with over 22 million NFTs in the metaverse. A study by blockchain specialist Chainalysis indicated over $40.9 billion was spent on NFTs in 2021 alone, far surpassing previous predictions or trends. Chainalysis also recorded that 80 percent of the market is held by a smaller demographic of key investors, meaning the space to develop via community platforms and industries such as gaming is huge.

Hamid Fathalian, Founder of infinite8, said, “We are excited to partner with a global next-generation platform like HeliconNFT, which we are confident will become an industry leader due to its next level innovation. Because HeliconNFT’s technology allows the use of a wide and ever-expanding range of utility services for the gaming sector we feel it not only fully corresponds to the time, but significantly expands the already fascinating possibilities of the NFT gaming world.”

The Infinite8’s LandRocker on the platform is a play-to-earn, online multiplayer game where NFTs are available in two variants: as cosmetic upgrades for combat vehicles, preventing players from buying NFTs that give them a distinct advantage over others, and NFTs that boost a player's mining vehicle’s performance. LandRocker is set to have its initial sale through Binance Smart Chain, and is set for beta release in Q3 2022 on the HeliconNFT ecosystem.

Infinite8 will be looking to use HeliconNFT as its secondary NFT marketplace, but plans to utilise the full gambit of HeliconNFT’s features for several other upcoming titles beyond LandRocker – including an expansive, open metaverse.
