Dubai Airshow 2023 to showcase the Future of Aerospace

With the global AAM market projected to be valued at $16.81 billion in 2025 and expected to reach an impressive $110.02 billion by 2035, the Dubai Airshow aims to provide a platform for regional and global players to explore future flight technologies that will revolutionize travel for passengers and cargo.

Dubai Airshow 2023, set to take place from November 13-17 at the Dubai World Central (DWC), will prominently feature the rapidly growing market of advanced aerial mobility (AAM) and urban air mobility (UAM) solutions. As disruptive methods of aerial transportation gain traction, Dubai is emerging as a leader in AAM innovation and infrastructure expansion.

The upcoming Dubai Airshow will not only showcase the latest innovative solutions across aerospace, space, and defense but will also introduce a dedicated AAM pavilion. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a range of aerial transport solutions, including drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), urban air mobility vehicles (UAMs), and electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs). An eVTOL flying display will further demonstrate the capabilities of these futuristic transport methods.

With the global AAM market projected to be valued at $16.81 billion in 2025 and expected to reach an impressive $110.02 billion by 2035, exhibiting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21.7 percent, the Dubai Airshow aims to provide a platform for regional and global players to explore future flight technologies that will revolutionize travel for passengers and cargo.

Dubai's commitment to AAM was emphasized earlier this year when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced plans to introduce air taxis in Dubai within three years. To support this initiative, vertiports will be developed as part of the city's future air mobility infrastructure network, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation across urban areas.

To further facilitate the growth of the AAM industry, the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South have partnered to establish the world's first AAM integrator world center in Dubai. The project includes the development of the world's first-ever vertiport certification process, solidifying Dubai's global standing in the AAM sector.

Additionally, the event will feature the return of the AAM conference, gathering industry thought leaders and experts to discuss the transformative technologies, regulations, and infrastructure required to incorporate AAM into daily life.

Tim Hawes, Managing Director of Tarsus F&E, expressed excitement about the focus on AAM at Dubai Airshow 2023, stating, "This will be a huge focus for Dubai Airshow 2023, where we will showcase the latest innovation and provide a platform to highlight the immense potential and opportunities for growth across the sector. Dubai is the perfect place for global industry trailblazers to gather, ready to highlight the latest technologies and discuss the trends and solutions that will chart the way forward and transform how we travel."

With Dubai solidifying its pioneering status in the AAM market, Dubai Airshow 2023 is poised to build on the momentum and establish the emirate as a global hub for the future of air transportation.
