The 100 most valuable GCC companies

Here's a ranking by market cap and trends.

Have you ever wondered what the largest corporations in the GCC are? Well, you are in luck, because Gulf Business ranks the largest corporations in the region every year by market capitalisation. The market capitalisation (or market cap) is the number of shares in a company times the price per share; this gives an indication of the total valuation of the company. The top 7 of 2018 are exactly the same as the top 7 in 2017, with Saudi Arabian Saudi Basic Industries Corporation taking the first place in both years.

There have been some movers, however, with the National Bank of Kuwait cracking the top 10 at the 8th spot, up from 11th place last year. Overall, Kuwait emerged as the top performer among its regional peers, which can be attributed to the strong performance of banking stocks across the Gulf.
