4 things you didn’t know your Nol card could do

The Dubai Metro Nol card is literally your ticket to travel across the city. The card has donned different versions, for each commuter type, but eventually all of them serve the same purpose.

Here are a few things you can do with your Nol card apart from commuting from one station to another.

1) Pay your taxi fare

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) installed POS (Point of Sale) devices across Dubai taxis to facilitate payments. As a result of this, commuters can make payments for their cab ride using their Dubai Metro Nol card (in addition to cash, NFC technology and credit card payments).

2) Recharge sustainably

You now have the chance to top up your card at a solar-powered machine. Hundred such machines have been installed across the city.

3) Enjoy discounts and earn points

Get yourself a Nol Plus card and get rewarded with loyalty points each time you make a transaction using the card. Points are earned based on the amount you spend. Earn 100 points and redeem credit worth AED1 on your card.

4) Pay grocery bills, parking fee, petrol, museum entry fee and other attractions

You can also partake in the region's cultural and heritage offerings using your Nol card. This is available at Quranic Park and Al Shindagha Museum, with more museum and other attractions to join the list soon.
