Zero customs duty on Expo 2020 goods

Dubai Customs has initiated a customs clearance system to facilitate seamless entry of goods to be exhibited at Expo 2020. This way, Expo 2020 products will be cleared faster and easier, without bearing any custom duties.

Dubai Customs sanctioned the clearance system in cooperation with the Expo office. The decision was taken to support and provide Expo 2020 participants with excellent service. Dubai Customs is drafting a Customs Proceedure Guide, exclusive to Expo 2020 exhibitors and/or participants to understand and avail of the services laid out for them. Exhibitors will be spared the physical visit to the customs centres and will have the provision of an online registration instead. The decision is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

“We work hard to ensure best services and facilities are delivered to participants in Expo 2020. We will also facilitate permits of restricted goods issued by local and federal entities,” Abdullah Mohammed Al Khaja, Executive Director of Customer Management Division, said.
