GSMA Humanitarian Innovation Fund opens for applications

Round 3 of this Fund has officially opened for applications.

The Global System for Mobile Communications (GSMA) represents the interests of more than 750 mobile operators around the world. It’s Humanitarian Innovation Fund is put in place to promote solutions to humanitarian challenges with the help of mobile technology.

Round 3 of this Fund has officially opened for applications from the 1st of May, and they will be accepting applications until the 7th of June.

GSMA Humanitarian Innovation Fund is looking for startups or projects that could provide solutions for crisis such as forced displacement, widespread damage to societies, economic damage, and complex humanitarian emergencies that require multifaceted approach.

Along with funding between $65K and $650k, participants will benefit from networking, mentoring, project support and promotion. The funding round guarantees help with:

  • Adapting existing mobile enabled solutions

  • Testing and validating new models of service delivery

  • Scaling up solutions with proven potential for impact
