100 percent UAE-Made Store Signals New Era in Retail

This week at the bustling Make It In the Emirates exhibition (MIITE) in Abu Dhabi, visitors to the ADNEC Centre found more than just innovation and industry on display—they found a story of local empowerment, collaboration, and pride.

ADNOC Distribution, the UAE’s largest mobility and convenience retailer, made a major statement by joining the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s (MoIAT) ‘Muntajat Watan’na’ initiative. As part of this powerful program, the company is showcasing the quality, innovation, and diversity of UAE-made products, offering a real boost to local manufacturers. These select homegrown items are now taking centre stage at ADNOC Oasis stores across the country and will remain there until the end of the year.

But the celebration of local talent didn’t stop there.

In a move that’s especially exciting for SMEs and entrepreneurs, ADNOC Distribution also announced a new collaboration with the UAE Federal Youth Authority (FYA). Together, they’ve launched a Youth Corner initiative that shines a spotlight on Emirati-owned small businesses, such as Emirates Beekeepers, Banna Brothers, LIWA Hot Sauce, and NUWA. These proudly local brands will be available for purchase in selected ADNOC Oasis locations as part of a three-month pilot program.

As Eng. Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, put it:

“By championing local brands and products, and forging strong partnerships with homegrown suppliers, ADNOC Distribution is helping to build resilient supply chains, empower Emirati entrepreneurs, and support the UAE’s vision for a more self-reliant, sustainable economy.”

One of the exhibition’s highlights was ADNOC Distribution’s first-ever 100 percent UAE-made pop-up ADNOC Oasis store, which turned plenty of heads. Stocked exclusively with UAE-made goods—locally-roasted coffee, snacks, and specialty beverages—the pop-up store offered a real taste of what the nation’s entrepreneurs are capable of.

Behind the scenes, ADNOC Distribution is also working to support local supply chains at every level. A newly announced agreement with Al Ain Farms Group will see UAE-sourced dairy ingredients featured in ADNOC Oasis coffee, beverages, and quick-service food—another concrete step in keeping more of the value chain local.

From its convenience stores to its broader product lines, ADNOC Distribution’s commitment to homegrown excellence is clear. Its ADNOC Voyager lubricant line, for instance, is not only manufactured right here in the UAE but also exported to 47 markets around the world. And in keeping with the spirit of collaboration, the company recently announced a strategic partnership with noon, the UAE’s leading digital delivery platform—further expanding its reach and impact.

At a time when so many startups and SMEs are seeking greater visibility and support, ADNOC Distribution is proving to be a powerful ally. By opening its shelves and supply chains to Emirati talent and innovation, it’s helping to write a new chapter for local enterprise in the UAE.

And for the country’s growing community of small business owners and entrepreneurs, that’s a story worth celebrating.
