MENA's first robotic fulfilment centre launches in Dubai, aims to process 12,000 orders daily with 99% accuracy

It is expected to be 3x more productive than humans.

E-commerce is a growing market in the Middle East. Being one of the highest funded sectors, it is seeing many niche e-commerce platforms carve a space for themselves. Sprii, Mumzworld, Mecal are just a few of them in the MENA region.

Moreover, there is growing competition with noon and Amazon going head-to-head and ZON, a new e-commerce platform focusing on retail SMEs launching in early 2020.

Keeping operation and delivery cost low is one of the prime focus of most; and robots can play a major role in making this a reality. This is where IQ Fulfillment is plugging the gap. It has now opened MENA's first robotic fulfilment centre in Dubai.

Founded by Fadi Amoudi, and launched through parent company IQ Holding, IQ Fulfillment uses robots, artificial intelligence and other softwares to provide full back-end solutions to support the supply-chain and logistics industry.

It uses the same technology that is used by Ali Baba, one of the world's largest international e-commerce companies, for its operations.

“IQ Fulfillment fills a distinctive niche in the region, especially with the focus of the MENA region to build its e-commerce ecosystem. Today, the UAE is at the forefront in driving digital technologies and in supporting SMEs to achieve transformational growth. This presents a strong growth environment for innovative tech-companies such as ours.”
Fadi Amoudi, founder and chief executive officer of IQ Fulfillment

IQ Fulfillment can process 12,000 orders on a daily basis with a 99 percent accuracy rate, making them almost 3 times as productive as humans.

This technology, already used by Alibaba and thereby tested in the sector, can support the operations of small and medium sized companies, small and large e-commerce players in the region, as well as accelerators and incubators.

In addition, it can easily and seamlessly integrate with its clients' online platform to deliver storage or warehousing solutions, package protection, order processing, delivery as well as many other services. This means that new players or current SMEs looking to take their business online, only need to develop a website, and can outsource many of the supply chain and logistic operations to IQ Fulfillment.
