Regional entrepreneurial bigwigs headline TiE Global Summit

H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry delivered the opening keynote at the TiE Global Summit (TGS). Other keynotes included one by H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications on Our Digital Economy and a special address by Mohamed Al Abbar, Chairman, EMAAR; Chairman, Noon who spoke about "The Middle East - Rediscovering Entrepreneurship". Al Abbar reiterated that as “successful entrepreneurs we have an obligation to think beyond and to give back” and that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Dubai.

The line-up included entrepreneurial superstars like Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO, Paytm, going shoulder to shoulder with celebrities like Shekhar Kapoor, Film Director all talking about the changing and evolving roles of the entrepreneurs and the opportunities globally.

Abdul Rehman Tarabzooni, Founder and CEO of STV spoke about the Saudi investment scene in a conversation with Prashant Gulati, Chair for TGS, and Founder of the SmartStart Fund.

In partnership with Noon (Title Partner) and Etisalat (Strategic Partner), supported by Emirates NBD, Dubai Internet City (DIC), and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), the event witnessed global marquee speakers across the industry.

In addition to marquee speakers, TiE Global Summit also created networking opportunities between startups and new businesses from around the world to meet potential business partners and investors travelling in from more than 30 countries.
