One Platform, Every Delivery: Meet NXN
Dubai's 7X Holding Group, a major player in the trade, transport, and logistics sectors, has just launched a new initiative to reshape the logistics landscape for SMEs in the UAE. The new platform, called the National Network for Logistics (NXN), aims to simplify and improve how businesses handle shipping, storage, and delivery.
The launch of NXN took place in Dubai, with key figures from 7X in attendance. It's built on a hybrid physical-digital infrastructure, integrating a wide range of services into a single network. This is particularly relevant for SMEs that often face challenges with the complexity and cost of logistics.
What NXN Means for Your Business
NXN brings together various local and international service providers, including major names like DHL, Aramex, and FedEx. Instead of juggling multiple providers, you'll be able to access their services through a unified network. This is intended to lower costs and simplify the entire process.
The network is also built to be easily accessible. It includes:
Over 87 physical branches across the UAE.
More than 1,000 pick-up and drop-off locations, including smart lockers.
Digital channels that allow you to manage everything from your computer or phone.
One of the key benefits for SMEs is the focus on providing a seamless experience. The platform offers services like same-day or next-day delivery and flexible pick-up options. For e-commerce businesses, NXN also provides "dark store" services and fulfilment solutions, which can help with managing inventory and shipping without the need for a large physical space.
The network’s operations are managed by Waslah, a digital logistics platform, and are integrated with WAYN, the UAE’s digital P.O. Box system. This integration helps ensure accurate addressing and reliable delivery.
A Simpler Approach to Logistics
According to Abdulaziz Alhammadi, the General Manager of NXN, the platform is designed around four main pillars:
Send: This pillar handles local and international shipping.
Receive: It focuses on flexible delivery and returns management.
Store: This provides storage solutions, including smart lockers and fulfilment centres for e-commerce.
Enable: This pillar specifically targets SMEs, giving them access to tools and services that were once only available to larger companies.
The launch of NXN is a significant step towards modernising the UAE's logistics infrastructure. By creating a unified platform, it aims to reduce complexity and bureaucracy, making it easier for businesses of all sizes to operate and grow. This new network could be a valuable tool for any SME looking to streamline its logistics operations and expand its reach.
