New alliance offers SMEs preferential shipping rates, faster customs clearance, and scalable logistics solutions—empowering international expansion and aligning with UAE’s economic diversification goals.

For businesses operating in the UAE, expanding international reach just became more streamlined. A new partnership between DHL Express UAE and Meydan Free Zone aims to enhance global logistics capabilities for companies in the region.

The agreement was formally signed at the Meydan Free Zone headquarters by Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Managing Director of DHL Express UAE, and Mohammad Bin Humaidan Al Falasi, Director of Free Zone Licensing at Meydan Free Zone.

Key Benefits for Businesses

Businesses registered within the Meydan Free Zone will now have access to DHL's global logistics network, which covers over 220 countries and territories. This collaboration provides several advantages designed to simplify international shipping:

Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Managing Director of DHL Express UAE, stated that the partnership allows for the delivery of reliable, scalable, and sector-specific logistics solutions, supporting entrepreneurs in their global expansion. The objective is to simplify international trade and provide the necessary infrastructure for businesses to grow worldwide.

Mohammad Bin Humaidan Al Falasi, Director of Free Zone Licensing at Meydan Free Zone, added that the collaboration with DHL Express ensures an environment where entrepreneurs have the tools to scale their ventures efficiently. He noted that it removes logistical barriers, offering direct access to an advanced logistics network, and contributes to positioning Meydan Free Zone as a launchpad for businesses with international aspirations.
