IFZA's Playbook for German Businesses: A Gateway to UAE Prosperity

IFZA, Dubai's free zone community, partners with the German Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses to strengthen UAE-German business ties. IFZA will open an office in Dubai to support German businesses expanding in the region, aligning with Dubai's D33 initiative. The collaboration aims to position IFZA as the preferred option for German SMEs looking to internationalise in the UAE.

Aiming at strengthening bilateral business relations between the UAE and Germany, the International Free Zone Authority, Dubai's free zone community, has entered into a partnership with the Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft e.V, the German Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses.

As the official representative of BVMW in Dubai, IFZA is set to open an office in the city, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the growing number of German businesses establishing operations in Dubai. This collaboration marks an important step in IFZA's strategy, aligning with the Dubai Government's initiative, D33, aimed at attracting international businesses to boost economic growth.

By becoming the preferred option for German businesses seeking expansion and internationalisation in the UAE, IFZA aims to provide opportunities for SMEs between Germany and the UAE. Jochen Knecht, CEO at IFZA, stated, "Our strategic partnership with BVMW is a key component in IFZA becoming the solution for German businesses looking to expand to Dubai and beyond."

IFZA, boasting an impressive track record in serving the German business community, aligns its goals with Dubai's position as the region's thriving business and investment hub. The partnership emphasises IFZA's commitment to supporting German SMEs in realising their growth ambitions from Dubai to the global stage.

With at least 1,200 German companies and over 30,000 German citizens in the UAE, Germany holds a critical position in IFZA's market. The partnership with BVMW strengthens their position as a facilitator for new business segments in the country, exemplified by the recent inclusion of EMAG among the German companies choosing IFZA for their business setup in Dubai.

Christoph Ahlhaus, Chairman of BVMW, highlighted the importance of reliable support for internationally successful SMEs, stating, "Small and medium-sized businesses are strongly rooted in Germany and its regions." BVMW's office at IFZA's premises will act as a hub connecting its members with the UAE market and facilitating connections with potential partners across the region.

IFZA's presence extends to Germany with the upcoming opening of its dedicated office in Frankfurt, marking its position as the go-to entity for businesses seeking seamless market entry into the UAE. IFZA already has established offices in Spain, Switzerland, China, and Seychelles, with plans for additional offices in Austria, the UK, India, Africa, and Latin America in the coming year.
