Five Strategic Deals, One Big SME Vision
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expanding the support it offers to businesses in the emirate through a new initiative called ‘Member Privileges’. As part of the launch, the Chamber has signed strategic partnership agreements with five major organisations - Microsoft, DHL, e& UAE, Project Management Institute, and Dubai Insurance.
The move is part of the Chamber’s 2025–2028 roadmap, which focuses on helping businesses adapt to economic and technological changes while strengthening Abu Dhabi’s overall business environment. SMEs remain a major focus of this strategy.
Under the initiative, Chamber members will have access to a range of practical business services and benefits. These include cloud and digital solutions from Microsoft, international shipping and logistics support through DHL, and digital infrastructure services from e& UAE, including cybersecurity and cloud computing. Businesses will also be able to access training programmes and globally recognised certifications from the Project Management Institute, along with customised insurance solutions from Dubai Insurance.
In addition to these services, the initiative also offers preferential pricing, priority access, and specialised support from local and international partners.
His Excellency Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the initiative is designed to give businesses practical support that aligns with their day-to-day needs. He noted that the partnerships aim to help companies strengthen competitiveness, expand into new markets, and access wider professional networks.
The announcement also reflects a growing focus on SME development across the UAE. For many smaller businesses, access to digital tools, global logistics, workforce training, and risk protection can often be difficult due to cost or limited resources. Through partnerships like these, the Chamber is trying to make those services more accessible.
Representatives from the partner organisations also highlighted the importance of supporting SMEs as they navigate a more digital and competitive business landscape.
Amr Kamel, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, said businesses today are increasingly focused on operational continuity, resilience, and building long-term growth capabilities. He added that providing SMEs with secure and scalable digital platforms can help them operate with more confidence.
Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Country Manager of DHL Express UAE, described SMEs as an important driver of economic growth and said the partnership would help businesses gain access to trade knowledge, expertise, and global market opportunities.
At e& UAE, Abdulla Ebrahim Al Ahmed said the collaboration aims to support private sector growth by giving businesses access to advanced technologies and digital solutions that can support expansion and innovation.
Meanwhile, PMI’s Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Hanny Alshazly, said the partnership reflects how public and private sector collaboration can contribute to economic diversification and long-term business growth.
Dubai Insurance CEO Abdellatif Abuqurah added that the company will offer tailored insurance solutions and exclusive packages for Chamber members, helping businesses protect operations while focusing on future growth.
SMEs continue to play a major role in Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy, and initiatives like this indicate a wider effort to build a stronger support system around them. By bringing together technology providers, logistics experts, training organisations, and insurance partners, the Chamber is positioning itself as more than just a business network - but as a platform aimed at helping SMEs scale more sustainably in a changing market.
