LegalTech platform Clara raises $2 million seed funding

A startup addressing legal concerns of startups.

Clara is the second venture by the founders of established legal consultancy, Support Legal. They graduated two months ago from TechStars accelerator in Dubai.

They have raised $2 million dollars in their seed funding round, led by Techstars, 500 Startups, Wamda Capital, VentureSouq, Delta Partners, Shorooq Investments and Dubai Angel Investors.

Essentially, Clara is addressing the pain points of many startups. By automating many of the repetitive tasks performed by lawyers, such as drafting agreements and educating sounders on legal subjects, Clara makes the process easier, quicker and cheaper for many startups.

It also helps startups navigate the complex legal processes and structures with its conversational software.

With the $2 million in seed funding, Clara plans to build the platform’s tech aspects further, including design and content creation, as well as international expansion. It has already set up in London, which is a key startup hub in Europe.
